JAMAL Foundation is the JAMAICAN MOVEMENT for the ADVANCEMENT OF LITERACY. The main aim of JAMAL is to create an Adult Education Programme to teach the Jamaican people, at all levels, the skills of reading and writing. In this way they may advance themselves within their community, and in doing so adopt a new and more positive outlook towards life. JAMAL hopes to eradicate illiteracy in the shortest possible time possible and plans to establish continuing education as a normal feature of the Jamaican lifestyle.
